ALP Leicester
To kick off May at ALP Leicester the learners had a fantastic time celebrating the King’s Coronation. It was great to have the whole school together for this special event. (left image)
Then coming into mid May the learners at ALP Leicester participated in 4 different athletic events against other schools. All learners had a fantastic day and came back with a well-deserved medal. (middle image)
After things within May that Leicester were able to discover was the Warning zone. Learners at ALP Leicester and ALP Nuneaton attended the Warning Zone. The Warning Zone is a Leicester-based charity dedicated to teaching life skills and safeguarding children. Learners thoroughly enjoyed the experience (as you can see from the photos).
Coming into the 18th of May, New signage was added to the exterior and the reception area! (below left, below middle photos)
Leading into the 22nd of May Learners at ALP have started their level 1 bike ability course by cycletraining@b-buddies.com They enjoyed riding bikes, completing an obstacle course, and learning about the gears and brakes. (below right photo)
ALP Nuneaton
Learners at ALP Leicester and ALP Nuneaton attended the Warning Zone. The Warning Zone is a Leicester-based charity dedicated to teaching life-skills and safeguarding children. Learners thoroughly enjoyed the experience (as you can see from the photos).
Parkview Academy
To kick off May Parkview Academy was extremely excited to share across all socials something one of the learners had been working on! Assassin’s Creed: Unity & Sweet Dreams (We Rabbitz remix cover) AMV: Ollie has created this amateur music video for one of his favorite games. He cut and edited the video and music together in the program Davinci Resolve, making sure that the timing of the two lined up and complemented each other well. This video is part of a series of AMVs he has created for his youtube channel, which he has been using to work towards various AQA awards in his media lessons.
Parkview also had an exciting trip to the Transport Museum in London to have a Geography lesson for their Life Skills students!
Next in may the Life Skills students created some amazing artwork to showcase Parkview Academy’s values ARRRTT.
To conclude May before going on half term, Parkview Academy held its second annual Art exhibition! The learners created brilliant artworks, which were sold and all proceeds will go to ‘Ellenor’ charity.
Pierview Academy
For bee week this May, learners at Pierview Academy have been learning about bees, and their importance of them for our planet. 
ALP Sittingbourne
ALP Sittingbourne started May by celebrating National Library Week. They updated their school library area and visited the local library to foster our love for reading.
An event that ALP Sittingbourne held in May was a community coronation event. They raised over £900 for the learners to spend on their school environment!
