We are a short, medium and long-term provision for learners on the autistic spectrum or who have other special educational needs and challenging behaviour. The overarching purpose of our provision is to work with learners so that they are able to overcome the barriers to learning that they have previously encountered. We aim to offer flexible, structured and supportive needs led approaches.
We are looking for an Outreach Coordinator who has enthusiasm and passion for working with this challenging area of special educational needs. The post holder will engage with teaching and learning activities away from the school environment and will coordinate the attendance, curriculum and learning environment for learners who for a variety of reason do not attend the school environment. They will teach learners on a one to one basis and within small groups.

Parkview Academy is experiencing an exciting time as we are growing both in numbers of pupils and in our positive reputation. Our school provides continuity in learning for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans. We are a short to long term provision for learners on the autistic spectrum or who have other special educational needs and behaviour problems. We cater for young people aged between 7-19. The overarching purpose of our provision is to work with young people so that they are able to overcome the barriers to learning that they have previously encountered. We aim to offer flexible, structured and supportive needs led approaches with the goal of working towards re-integration to a long term setting whether this is mainstream or a special school placement. In order to do this we may offer part time or full time education according to the assessment of the pupil’s needs.
The post holder will lead tuition for students who for various reasons do not access the school environment. As a specialist the post holder will engage with teaching and learning activities and will support Junior teachers and LSA’s with the planning, preparation and delivery of lessons on a one to one basis and with small groups. They will also track progress of pupils. The post holder will specialise in primary provision and implement strategies to support behavior and education through ALP schools thematic approach. The post holder will be responsible for organising their own learning environment as well as coordinating other tutors who are delivering primary pupil interventions.

We cater for young people aged between 11 and 25. The overarching purpose of our provision is to work with young people so that they are able to overcome the barriers to learning that they have previously encountered. We aim to offer flexible, structured and supportive needs led approaches with the goal of working towards re-integration progression to a long term educational setting or into employment, education and training. In order to achieve this, we offer part time or full time education according to the assessment of the pupil’s needs.

We are looking for an efficient and hardworking Administration Assistant to work as part of the Learning Support Team in a school for young people who have a variety of special educational needs and disabilities. The role will involve performing administrative, office support activities for the Senior Management Team and acting as the schools receptionist. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, and filing as well as other internal duties with staff and students.

The post holder will specialise in tuition of a vocational or core subject(s) delivered to learners with learning difficulties/disabilities in both individual and small group learning sessions.

As a higher level tutor the post holder will be able to plan, deliver and assess their own teaching and learning activities with some direction and supervision from the senior management team. They will work with both primary and secondary learners and will be able to tutor learners in accordance with the school’s curriculum policy.
