Name Description
Higher Level Tutor (ALP Leicester) ALP Schools provide continuity in learning for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans. We are a short, medium and long-term provision for learners on the autistic spectrum or who have other special educational needs and challenging behaviour. We cater for young people in their primary and secondary school years. The overarching purpose of our provision is to work with children so that they are able to overcome the barriers to learning that they have previously encountered. We aim to offer flexible, structured and supportive needs led approaches.

The post holder will specialise in tuition of a vocational or core subject(s) delivered to learners with learning difficulties/disabilities in both individual and small group learning sessions.

As a higher level tutor the post holder will be able to plan, deliver and assess their own teaching and learning activities with some direction and supervision from the senior management team. They will work with both primary and secondary learners and will be able to tutor learners in accordance with the school’s curriculum policy.
